"'It has changed my life forever' are the words most often used by Moms to describe the experience during our first two seasons," Eddie said. "Through their commitment these Moms, who vary in age, size, and fitness levels, show us all that with knowledge, tools and motivation it's possible for people to positively transform their lives."

NFL Moms Fitness Challenge

In keeping with Eddie George's philosophy of challenging people to positively transform themselves and their lives, EGX Lifestyle in 2007 introduced the NFL Moms Fitness Challenge.

For the 2009 challenge, Eddie is being joined by the NFL and the Dr. Oz Show to bring Eddie's program to the attention of millions of people across America. To learn more about the third annual challenge visit Dr. Oz's website.

Founded by Eddie George and his mother Donna George, of the Professional Football Players Mother's Association (PFPMA), the Challenge features 26 mothers of current and former players in a team weight loss battle. Previous participants have included the Moms of NFL greats such as Jerome Bettis, Reggie Wells and DeShaun Foster.

During the 18-week fitness challenge, the EGX Lifestyle program offers healthy solutions to the NFL Moms through training, education and empowerment. The goal of the challenge is to see which team can lose the most weight and encompass the greatest lifestyle changes through the process.

The Moms, who are split into AFC and NFC teams, mirror their son's football season leading up to the Moms Super Bowl. The "season" consists of all the participating moms (approximately 40 women) meeting in Nashville, TN in September for "Pre-Season", again in November for "Halftime" and finally in January at the site of the Super Bowl.

The Moms are given complete physicals, including a CT scan and a VO2 MAX test, during their pre-season visit, and their progress is tracked on subsequent visits. The Moms are given EGX workouts, tools and information to help them achieve their personal transformations.
